Would you do your own survey? Of course not. So why would you think you’re qualified to do your own inventory? Who will act as witness between landlord and tenant in court should a dispute arise on the condition of your property? Do you want to take the risk of it being “his word against mine”? An independent inventory clerk acts as an independent witness for your property. We carry out detailed reports on a huge variety of properties. We know what to look for and where to look for it. We know the likely areas of contention. And we know the law. We understand the legal implications of our services, and can refer to the Association of Independent Inventory Clerks should a difficult matter arise. As our client, should you be unhappy with our services you are at liberty to contact the AIIC, which operates a Complaints Procedure to deal with problems with its members. We provide clear, accurate reports in a format recommended by the AIIC. We can provide both a hard copy and an e-copy as a secure pdf. We generally take pictures for our own record and can provide pictures on a CD for an extra fee. As a professional service, we offer fast turn around.
